What hours Does the Out of Hours Service Cover?
The hours are between 6pm and 8.45am, Monday to Friday, and from 6pm Friday to 8.45am on Monday and Public Holidays.
Whom to call
If it is a life threatening emergency please call the emergency services on 999. If it is not an emergency then you should call NHS 24 on 111 or text phone on 18001 111 as NHS 24 is responsible for the management of the out of hours service. However, should you call the Practice telephone number, you will be advised of the NHS 24 number.
If you do call NHS24 they can also transfer you to the emergency services on 999 if required.

What should I do in an emergency?
In a life threatening emergency you should call the emergency services on 999 or anyone requiring urgent medical advice contact NHS 24 on 111 or text phone on 18001 111.
An experienced NHS 24 Nurse will assess your symptoms and provide advice or in an emergency situation you will be transferred to the appropriate services for further assessment or treatment.
Will my own Doctor be informed of my contact with NHS 24?
The Practice will be informed of any contact with the Out of Hours Service.
